April Lockhart
April Lockhart born 4 July 1995. She began the guitar and piano lessons in seventh grade. This sparked the interest of her. April's first song was Different. She wrote it when she was 12 years old. When she was 14 years old, April was spending a lot of time writing and honed her musical ability. She started writing songs alongside her father in NY and LA within a short time. April was also able to add other themes in the song "Take My Hand" for some of acquaintances who faced problems like peer pressure, disabilities, and even teens who committed suicide. Lockhart is also gaining a growing popularity as a lifestyle influencer and works for popular Clean Beauty company Ilia. Her birthplace didn't come with a left hand, and that is why she's who she is. But that's far from the full story. Lockhart's Instagram account doesn't ignore the fact that she has a disability. But it also doesn't make it a point to emphasize her disability. What's the message? There is more to us than the physical person we are. The identities we have are complex and we contain many different elements. Lockhart in a video message sent from her Nashville at home, claims I don't want that to be a part of my character. I am far more than just my physical self. My day-today life is not dependent on it. I lead a normal, everyday life and find my own solutions to issues. It's an integral element of my life and it's imperative to discuss the subject. Her journey to self-acceptance will be one that lasts an entire lifetime. She is an inspiration with regard to this. Still she admits she's gone through phases with her body and sometimes feeling insecure to wear certain types of clothing that showed the arms of her. The woman now puts on whatever clothes she wishes and shares pictures on her Facebook page with pride. Self-love for her was a long trip. This is true for everyone regardless of their degree of self-confidence. It is essential to be around individuals who truly see the person you are.
